TUCSON, AZ – As the number of Americans fully vaccinated against the coronavirus continues to rise, the traditional Thanksgiving gatherings of the days leading up to the pandemic are likely to return to Tucson this year with full, festive vengeance.

In our anticipation of once again preparing a complete holiday meal for 20 people, it is very possible that we will forget one or the other item on our shopping lists.

Fortunately, many Tucson grocery stores will open Thanksgiving Day to pick up the missing can of cranberry sauce or an extra packet of biscuits.

Here are the opening times for grocery stores that do open on Thanksgiving Day, along with those that don’t. As always, Patch encourages you to call your local store in advance to confirm the opening hours at that location.

Albertsons: Shops are open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving

CVS: Many CVS pharmacy locations, including 24 hour locations, will be open at regular hours. Some pharmacies may have reduced opening hours or be closed for the holidays. The company recommends calling ahead to confirm opening times.
