TUCSON (KVOA) – A local event planning company called AZ Food Festivals LLC is the focus of outrage on several former customers who visited Taco and Margarita Festivals theorganized by the company.
The News 4 Tucson Investigators for over two months took a look at the company and its owner Adam Double.
The festivals were billed as “the biggest taco festival”. offers many providers, but several people who attended festivals across the country saying that this is nowhere near what they experienced.
Jessica Furco attended the buffalo, New York Festival in September. she bought VIP tickets for her and a friend to celebrate her birthday, around $100 Total with taxes and containD. two Tacos, two Margaritas and a t-shirt. Furco said it was a bad experience.
“The tacos were just awful,” said Furco. “I had to wait in line for about an hour and it was literally just a taco bowl and ground beef.”
Dana Huisgen also attended the same festival and also bought a VIP ticket but said they ran out of t-shirts even though she paid for them. The food didn’t offer a better experience either.
“I’m not going to eat this, it’s gross, I can’t eat this.” Huisgen said about the tacos.
She denied the charges with her credit card company.
Azrael Essex owns DA Taste, one of the few taco vendors that was at the event, she said Double was very disorganized and couldn’t communicate with them. The taco was standing for VIP customers the food ran out at one point and she said Double started sending customers her way, expecting her to put their meals together, for which she struggled to be repaid.

Across the country, people shared similar experiences from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Des Moine, Iowa, and Fargo, ND that the event sparked so much outrage that the North Dakota Attorney General is investigating.
