TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – Christmas is just around the corner and toy stores across the country are seeing a surge in business.

Mildred and Dildred in Tucson is no different.

“Much busier than we’ve ever seen,” said Autumn Rhue, the owner of the store. “Last Saturday was the busiest day we’ve ever had.”

Customers flooded the store in search of the perfect pre-holiday gift. The store offered many gift options even as supply chain problems persist worldwide.

“We expected there would be problems,” said Rhue. “We always paid attention to over-ordering because not everything came.”

The store was still receiving deliveries this week that were abandoned over six months ago. Rhue said while they are late she’s still glad they made it before Christmas.

“I’m just glad it’s here, I don’t care what it is,” said Rhue. “Putting something on the shelves is great.”

With all the problems with the supply chain, some items have increased in price.

“Prices have gone up,” said Rhue. “Nothing big and we were able to take in a lot of them.”

Rhue said she was concerned that prices will rise enough to affect her bottom line if the supply chain problems persist throughout the new year.
