TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) – An arrest was made in connection with a suspicious death on Friday, September 10th.
According to officials, MPs were responding to the 9400 block of North Crestone Drive, which is near Thornydale and Overton Streets.
When MPs arrived, they discovered a man in the apartment with obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced dead on the scene. He was identified as the 60-year-old Charles Ashworth.
Detectives say evidence gathered led to the arrest of 47-year-old Agustin Lopez. Lopez was charged with first degree murder and was admitted to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
The investigation continues.
