TUCSON (KVOA) – From a 34-hour non-stop live TV weather report to a multi-hour sandwich season, Rokerthon is back on its fifth anniversary, hoping to break a 10th Guinness world record on an online weather forecast for most people .
News 4 Shea Sorrenson from Tucson caught up with Al Roker from the Today Show on Friday to give us a sneak peek.
“So I’ll start it on Monday morning on the Today Show, then we’ll move to Today.com, Today All Day and News 4 Tucson’s website where people can stream and we throw back and to various weather people,” said Roker. “For example, Shea, where will you be in the Tucson area?”
“So we’re going to be at the Tucson Botanical Garden, which is a big staple here. Everyone loves it,” said Sorrenson.
With New 4 Tucson on the season, Al promised to give Tucson a little more love since The Today Show’s Savanah Guthrie is from here.
