TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) – A pedestrian died in a collision on August 15 in downtown Tucson.
On September 3, officials were informed that 67-year-old Donald William Taulbee had died from his injuries.
Officials said they were dispatched to Block 100 of W. Congress St. to report a collision involving serious injuries from an adult male pedestrian.
According to police interviews, Taulbee was hit by a vehicle while driving in the center lane of Congress St.
The driver stopped immediately and cooperated with the investigation. The officers found that the driver was not impaired at the time of the collision.
Detectives believe that walking on the lane where the pedestrian provides sidewalks is the main reason for the collision.
The investigation continues. No quotations were given.
