TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – Several streets in downtown Tucson and Saguaro National Park will be closed on Wednesday, October 13th due to the filming of the HBO Max series “Duster.”

Filming took place on Tuesday in parts of downtown, including Menlo Park.

Road closures in the park’s western district in the Tucson Mountains will occur, according to a press release, and visitors are encouraged to plan their trip accordingly.

The Bajada Loop, the park’s premier scenic drive, is under repair for damage caused during this year’s monsoon season.

Other areas in and around the West District will be closed to film productions in the area from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day.

Kinney Road, at the junction from Mile Wide Road to the visitor center, will be closed. However, park officials say visitors can get to the center by taking Mile Wide Road to Sendario and then Kinney Road to get there from the northwest. Picture Rocks Road will also be open to Sendario and then to Kinney Road.

Delays may occur at Mile Wide Road and Sendario.

Areas outside the park, including McCain Loop Road, will also be closed.

The visitor center will have limited services that day, including the National Parks Store, toilets, water, and information. Ticket sales are not available and visitors are asked to pay fees before entering the park or using self-pay options.

All roads and paths in the eastern district park of the Rincon Mountains will also have limited service on this day, including fees and annual ticket sales.

Picture Rocks Road and all trailheads on the east side of the Tucson Mountains will remain open, as will several access points along Sendario and Rudasill Roads.

The following streets will be closed:

  • Kinney Road, between Mile Wide and Red Hills Visitor Center
  • McCain Loop in Tucson Mountain Park
  • Golden Gate Road, also known as the Bajada Loop
  • Hohokam Road, also known as the Bajada Loop
  • Trailheads and picnic spots along the Bajada Loop, Ez-kim-in-zin, Sus, Bajada Wash, Valley View, Hugh Norris, Encinas, Sendero Esperanza, and Signal Hill

The plans are subject to change, officials say. For further information, click here.
