TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – The Tucson Salvation Army is handing out free backpacks to children this week.
K-12 students can stop by the Salvation Army Hospitality House on the corner of Speedway and Main on August 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Backpacks can be received in walk-up or drive-through format.
“We are grateful to the community for their time and generosity and for their continued service to the children of Tucson this summer. This program is so valuable because it provides our children with the school supplies they need for online and classroom lessons, ”said Captain Ellen Oh, Tucson City Salvation Army Coordinator Coordinator.
If your children are unable to attend, the Salvation Army will ask parents to bring ID.
If you have any further questions, call 520-795-9671.
