TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – Tucson police identified the suspect in connection with a fatal knife stab on Thursday, August 19th.
The 32-year-old Leonard Bernard Black was identified as the suspect.
On August 20, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and located Bernard Black in an apartment complex. He was sent to Pima County Jail on a first degree murder warrant.
On August 19, officers were called to a house on the 2400 block of North Edith Boulevard, where they found 36-year-old Roberto Valdez with wounds “from a sharp object”.
According to police, Valdez later died in a local hospital.
Witnesses said Valdez had an argument with Bernard Black before the knife fight.
Detectives are still asking anyone with additional information to call 88-CRIME where they can remain anonymous.
