TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – The Telegraph Fire, burning north of Tucson, burned more than 180,000 acres with 98% containment on Saturday, July 3rd.

The fire, which was caused by humans but is still being investigated, ignited south of Superior and burned northeast towards the Globe.

At least 52 buildings have been lost and 155 employees are fighting the fire, which was reported on June 4th.

The 72,250 acre mescal fire, which was first reported southeast of Globe on June 1, has been 100% contained since Saturday June 19.

The cause of the mescal fire is still being investigated and about 20 people are assigned to the fire in southern Gila County.
