TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – After a year-long pandemic hiatus, the Tucson Rodeo will celebrate its 97th anniversary in February.
According to a press release, the event will take place at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds from February 19-27. Tickets cost $ 18 to $ 35.
“The Tucson Rodeo Committee looks forward to returning to rodeo action this February and continuing the tradition of this unique Tucson event,” said Mark Baird, chairman of the Tucson Rodeo Committee.
The rodeo has two venues: the Vaquero Club and Gold Buckle. The Vaquero Club includes premium covered seating, televised rodeo action replay, refreshments, and parking for $ 80. Gold Buckle Boxes are covered box seats in the grandstand area and contain a catering menu, parking spaces, a rodeo program, a daily event schedule and a rodeo souvenir.
The Tucson Rodeo also offers a VIP package that includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the rodeo grounds, VIP credentials, parking, food, and balcony seating at the announcement booth.
During the rodeo, participants will compete in seven different events over eight days for a portion of a purse of $ 460,000. These events include Bareback Riding, Bull Riding, Horse Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, and Women’s Barrel Racing.
Parents can also register their children for the RAM Mutton Bustin Event for 4 to 6 year olds and the Justin Junior Rodeo for 6 to 13 year olds.
