TUCSON, Arizona (AP) – A 15-year-old girl who was in a car accident in Tucson over the weekend has died, authorities said Tuesday.
Tucson police did not identify the girl, who died after the wreck on Saturday night. They say the girl didn’t have a driver’s license and was moving too fast when the limo she was driving near Tucson International Airport left another limousine behind.
The girl’s car pulled through a guardrail and landed on the opposite side of the Nogales Highway.
The teenager was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and police learned on Monday that she had died.
Two occupants of her car and the driver of the second vehicle were also injured and taken to hospitals for treatment.
