Amazon opens new sortation center in Tucson

TUCSON (KVOA) – Amazon now operates its second store in Tucson.

The new sorting center is located near South Alvernon Way and East Corona Road, near Tucson International Airport.

All jobs have a starting wage of $ 15 an hour, according to Amazon. The Career Day will take place on September 15th, click here to register.

Sorting centers are considered the “middle mile,” or the amount of time packages move between Amazon sites before being delivered to customers on the last mile.

The company also operates a fulfillment center at 6701 S. Kolb Rd.
