Huawei Day KSA 2021 took place in Riyadh on November 30th and brought together industry leaders, ICT experts, ecosystem partners and consultants to delve into the experiences and implementation of the digital transformation.

The participants, made up of senior customers and government officials, also discussed how to solve customers’ core business problems and capitalize on the opportunities offered by the digital economy.

Saudi Arabia is driving the digitization of governments and industry through robust government policies. Eric Yang, CEO of Huawei in Saudi Arabia, gave the keynote speech entitled “Innovating Nonstop for Faster Digitalization”. He said Huawei’s commitment is to support Saudi public and private organizations with innovative technologies to enable new business models and deliver superior customer experiences. Huawei technologies such as 5G, cloud and digital energy help companies in various industries such as energy, finance and the public sector by digitizing their operations, securing their data and generally promoting national economic development.

Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Altheneyan, Deputy Minister for Future Jobs and Digital Entrepreneurship, Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, said at the event, “Huawei is a long-term strategic partner for MCIT, for which we are grateful. Altheneyan and Yang later presented the six winners of the finals of the Huawei ICT competition in Saudi Arabia.
