TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – As more and more people are being vaccinated in our area, businesses are returning to the office.

“It will likely be more of a hybrid form,” said Michael Guymon, VP of the Tucson Metro Chamber.

The Tucson Metro Chamber helps businesses that have decided to return to the office with PPE accessories. One company that starts by opening its office is Hexagon. Their mining division is headquartered here in Tucson.

“We had to turn the world off in a day,” said Nick Hare, Hexagon’s mining division president. “We won’t turn it back on the same day the same way.”

Hare works with people all over the world and has flown around the world many times before.

“We were shown that it is possible to do things remotely and virtually that we thought we had to fly someone,” said Hare.

He says business travel won’t be the same, nor will it be the new normal.

“The world will return to a version of the normal, but it won’t be 2019 normal,” Hare said. “The future will be normal.”

Hare said they work with all of their employees to make sure they are comfortable when they want to return to the office.
