Tucson Police have identified a gunman who was fatally shot and killed by an officer this week outside a Tucson store.
At around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, police say they confronted Donte Lorenzo Laster, 23, after making calls about a man firing a gun on the 100 block on East Fort Lowell Road near North Stone Avenue.
Vice ignored several orders to drop the gun. He was shot in the back of a store when he started firing the gun again, Tucson police said in a press release on Thursday.
Vice died shortly after being rushed to the Banner University medical center.
The gun that fired the truck had been reported stolen, the police said.
No officers were injured. The shooting is being investigated further and the circumstances of the shooting are being reviewed.
The officer who shot trucks has been identified as Officer Michael Cooper, a 3-year veteran from the Tucson Police Department.
