To prepare for the holidays, UPS is hiring more than 510 seasonal employees in the Tucson area.
The three-day recruitment event will take place from Thursday, November 4 to Saturday, November 6, virtually at jobs-ups.com/brownfriday.
“UPS Brown Friday has become an annual tradition,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Darrell Ford. “For tens of thousands of Americans, it’s an opportunity to find one of the best seasonal jobs in the country with the potential for a career. Many of those who attend one of our job fairs by Saturday will be hired until Monday, and many of them will be offered permanent positions after the holidays. “
Seasonal full and part-time positions – primarily parcel handlers, drivers and driver assistants – have long been an entry point for permanent employment at UPS, the company said in a press release.
Nationwide, UPS plans to hire 60,000 people during the three-day hiring flash.
