“To put it another way, volunteers are the engine of success at most events,” said Rotarian Joni Condit, chairman of the 15th Annual Tucson Classics Car Show.
The Tucson Classics Car Show is no exception. Really, without hundreds of volunteers, the Tucson Rotary Club couldn’t be hosting the auto show and giving away thousands of dollars to local nonprofits. Over 20,000 visitors are expected to attend the auto show on Saturday October 16.
Volunteers are needed on Friday October 15 for field setup, usually in the morning, and on Sunday October 17 for dismantling and cleanup work, which should start around 8 a.m. and finish by noon.
Most volunteers will be needed on the day of the event, Saturday October 16. Volunteers are needed for many tasks and we can accommodate people with special needs. Examples of work areas are:
Food court: pick up and clean up.
Public parking: Direct parking and parking in several parking spaces.
Plumbing technician: Pick up and empty rubbish during the show.
Set up: eating, drinking and other areas.
Slotting: Direct car show participants in their row and seat.
Some cleanup: After the show.
