Most of the gauges on the northwest side, along the foothills, and into the northeast side of Tucson showed more than 1 inch of rain by early Friday morning. Many gauges in the metropolitan area of Tucson also exceeded at least 1 inch of rain. It rained nearly 1.5 inches on Irvington Road near Pantano Road, according to a meter.
A meter on Beverly Avenue near East Speedway had registered more than 1 inch of rain at 1 a.m. Friday. A gauge at Davidson Canyon near Interstate 10, southeast of Tucson, registered nearly 3 inches of rain.

Tucson Electric Power reported dispersed power outages in the Tucson area, including several thousand unpowered customers in the Green Valley-Sahuarita area. The storm damaged nearly 50 utility poles and left 3,000 customers without electricity on Friday morning, according to a tweet from Tucson Electric Power. The Green Valley Fire Department reported fallen trees and power poles from the storms.
Most of the failures in Tucson were concentrated in the northeast, east side, and foothills.
Due to the severe storms, the Coronado National Forest has temporarily closed various hiking trails.
Within the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Sabino Canyon Road at Bridge 1, Bear Canyon Road and the Sabino Canyon Crawler are all closed.
In Pusch Ridge Wilderness, the Pima Canyon Trail, Finger Rock Trail, Ventana Trail, Pontatoc Trail, and Bear Canyon Trail are all closed.
