Tucson Twins Delight as Second Vaccine Shot Completes Birthday Wish

Twelve-year-old twins from Tucson, Arizona fulfilled the second part of their birthday wish when the duo received Covid-19 vaccinations on August 25.

Barbara Jean Madsen recorded footage of sons Parker and Ben receiving their injections, and the couple said it was “great” to be fully vaccinated.

Parker and Ben received their first vaccination on August 4th to meet a birthday wish. The family told the local media at the time that their enthusiasm for the vaccine was sparked by a family tragedy.

“We wanted to get it asap because our great-aunt and great-uncle died from it, so we wanted to get vaccinated to be safe from Covid-19,” said Parker KGUN 9.

The relatives are “like their grandparents,” the boys’ mother told Storyful, adding that the Covid-19 deaths occurred in January, “just days before the vaccine was available.”

“The boys were devastated and traumatized. They are eagerly awaiting their 12th birthday to get their vaccines. The first question Ben asked during the festive birthday donuts was what time it was.
