Artisan gem, mineral and bead show returns to Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – A craft display featuring gemstones, minerals and pearls has returned to the Casino Del Sol Resort in Tucson. The 17-year tradition was put on hold in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Around 500 galleries, exhibitions and workshops will be set up in the main ballroom of the resort. The artisans exhibiting their work travel to Tucson from around the world for the event. Many of the items on display are unique and are offered for sale.

“It’s just a wonderful opportunity to shop at great prices from people all over the world. We are also very interested in promoting local artists, ”said show manager Casey Kennerson.

Kennerson said about 25 artists from southern Arizona will be sharing their work on the show.

A number of craft workshops are also offered during the weekend. People of all skill levels are invited to learn about and try out unique crafts such as bead making, jewelry design, knotting and wire work.

The shows are open from Thursday, September 9th to Sunday, September 12th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are free and can be reserved online.
