Fort Lauderdale CF will travel to Arizona this weekend in hopes of extending their unbeaten streak to three when the team takes on Tucson FC on Saturday, September 11th at 10pm ET. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN +.

“I think all three games have gone a little differently so far. I don’t expect the fourth to be the same as the three previous games. It’s obviously very close towards the end of the season, it’s a very meaningful season for both teams, for both groups of players, so for us it’s about making sure we establish ourselves in the game and how we want to play, ”said head coach Darren Powell . “We have to keep up with Tucson because they want the same thing. We have to counteract what we have done so far … We are really looking forward to the challenge, our players are definitely ready for this opportunity. ”

Fort Lauderdale enters this game after winning a 0-0 draw in their last game against USL League One leaders Chattanooga Red Wolves SC. The clash on Saturday is the fourth duel between Fort Lauderdale and Tucson FC this season. The teams met for the first time earlier this season in May, with Fort Lauderdale emerging with a 5-1 win. Since then, Tucson defeated Fort Lauderdale in their last two inter-club games in July and August.

Tucson FC are aiming to continue their own undefeated streak, scoring points in their last four games. Most recently Tuscon scored a 1-1 draw against North Texas SC on September 4th. Striker Deri Corfe equalized in the 81st minute and saved his team the point. Goalkeeper Wallis Lapsley is second in the league with 56 points with the most saves.

Tucson currently ranks fifth in the USL League One with 26 points and has so far recorded seven wins, eight losses and five draws in the 2021 season. Fort Lauderdale CF ranks fourth on 26 points, with a record of seven wins, nine losses and five draws this season. Additionally, Fort Lauderdale has scored the most goals in the league with 31, while Tucson ranks third with 28 goals.
