Tucson man organizes fight involving hundreds in Nebraska over name Josh

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – A dispute over Josh’s name on Saturday drew a crowd from across the country to a heated pool noodle brawl in a Nebraska park.

It all started a year ago when the boredom of the pandemic set in and Josh Swain, 22, of Tucson, Arizona, texted others who shared his name on social media challenging them to a duel.

Joshes from across the country showed up at Lincoln Air Park to partake in the silliness. The celebrations began with a “just battle of stone, paper, and scissors” between Josh Swain from Arizona and another Josh Swain from Omaha.

KLKN-TV reports that the Arizona student won which allows him to claim the title of the real Josh Swain. The following pool noodle competition was open to anyone with the first name Josh.
