The Singleton Foundation For Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship Announces The Tucson Community Commitment

THE ANGEL, October 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Singleton Foundation for Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship, the nonprofit that harnesses the power of entertainment to motivate and inspire viewers to take control of their financial futures, today announces its first Community Commitment Pilot Program in the City of Tucson, Arizona. This free, first-of-its-kind, six-month program gives everyone in the community access to digital information and tools to develop the skills they need to plan their financial future with confidence. Working with local industry leaders, the foundation launches the program with a full learning system to guide users through the top finance and entrepreneurship topics and education with fun and entertaining content to encourage community members to see themselves as CEOs of their own lives. The program, which is available in both English and Spanish, is multi-faceted with inspiring and fun video content, interactive learning activities, hands-on entrepreneur workshops and the Venture Valley mobile and PC game that will be launched during this initiative.

With the three main components of the Singleton Foundation’s mission, community members can use and view the free content to start the conversation about money, develop financial skills, and inspire entrepreneurship and small businesses. The components are:

  • Millions of stories media
    This free digital channel harnesses the power of entertainment to grab attention, make change, and fuel entrepreneurship to inspire individual achievement by making financial literacy interesting and fun for everyone.

Through guides that combine inspirational entertainment with learning activities, community members receive tailored information that will give them a better understanding of financial problems and help them improve their financial situation. After completing easy-to-use programs, users test their money savvy and set goals. In addition, the Singleton Foundation will host various workshops with various groups within the community to enable deeper education.

The guides will contain modules that will focus on the following types of users:

  • Small business owner / entrepreneur
  • College students
  • Job seekers
