A man who behaved erratically in a Tucson parking lot has died after being hit and dragged by a car, police said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 17, around 8:30 p.m. at Circle K, 2450 E. Grant Road, near Tucson Boulevard.
Tucson police found that 28-year-old David Lamberto Munoz sat or crouched in the parking lot and behaved erratically before he was beaten, a press release said.
The driver was driving north on Tucson before turning into the parking lot, where Munoz was hit and dragged when the driver pulled into a parking lot, the notice said.
Munoz was taken to a hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, police said.
A DUI official found the driver was impaired, the press release said.
According to police, the impairment of the driver and the unpredictable behavior of Munoz are the main causes of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
