The AC Hotel Downtown hosts a weekly wine tasting to remind people that downtown is open.

With COVID-19 pandemic restrictions gradually easing and vaccinations increasing, the AC Hotel Downtown Tucson staff would like to toast our progress and welcome us back downtown.
Every Wednesday and Thursday, the hotel on 151 E. Broadway offers “AC Wine & Dine”, a wine tasting showcasing regional vintages.
The wines are rotated monthly and so the participants can try the three bottles presented, paired with a meat and cheese platter for two. After tasting the wines, you can choose any of them and receive a bottle to drink or take away.
“There aren’t many wine bars downtown so we thought we’d give it a try,” said Nick Smith, food and beverage director of the three-year-old downtown hotel.
Smith, who was at the hotel shortly after it opened, runs the AC Lounge, a tapas bar that offers guests small starters and craft cocktails. The idea, Smith said, is for diners to have a drink and a starter in the lounge before dining at a downtown restaurant.
