TUCSON (KVOA) – Tucson Business Owners Inc. will launch a “No On $ 15 Minimum Wage” campaign at Make It Matter on Monday June 21st from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the courtyard of St. Philip’s Plaza, the organization announced in a press release on Friday.
Information will be presented about the group’s opposition to the initiative, for which volunteers are collecting signatures to put a minimum wage of $ 15 on the ballot for the general election in Tucson, it said.
Representatives will identify the top five reasons why the proposed initiative is not right for Tucson and launch a campaign infrastructure to combat the initiative.
According to the announcement, the organization is trying to recruit new members. All business owners interested in becoming a member of Tucson Business Owners Inc. are invited to join Make It Matter on Monday.
Both members recommending a new business to join the organization and a new member joining the event will be entered into a free weekend at the White Stallion Ranch (valued at $ 1,000).
