It took a computer professional to back up the discs so the songs could be restored, he said during a phone call in early February.
“Those were really just a couple of great songs. It was really nice to get that done, ”said 34-year-old Bell. “I’m really proud of this record.”
He is also proud of “Sesiones En Casa”, born out of the need to do something musical during the quarantine.
“It’s cool for me at home to do something in quarantine, so I made a fun acoustic panel,” he said.
“Sessiones” features four songs sung in Spanish, including Bell’s 2019 song “Fuego Lento”, a song that expresses his love for Mexico and his Latin American fans.
“It was the first time I wrote anything original in Spanish,” he said. “I’ve done so much in Latin America and Mexico and I went back to the studio and it was like I wanted to do that … and people just loved it.”
Bell also wrote “No Perdamos Más Tiempo,” another crowd puller when he performs at major festivals and arenas in Latin America.
“The show is very popular down there and I put an album out, ‘It’s Only Time’ (2006), and it went really well there, so I started doing a few shows and touring there and building a fan base.” he explained. “It was a place where I could play huge festivals and play in front of a lot of people. It really is crazy. “
