TUCSON (KVOA) – A man was arrested Thursday morning following a “SWAT” situation in central Tucson.
According to Tucson Police, officers responded to multiple calls regarding gunfire that occurred near 1800 N. Desmond Ln. were fired at around 2.15 a.m.
TPD says additional 911 calls have reported shots from 2000 N. Alvernon Wy. and 3900 N. Justin Ln. at 3 a.m.
Officers received a report that the suspect was last found near 4800 E. Helen St.
TPD SWAT, K9 and Air Unit responded to the area. Just before 5 a.m., a suspect was located in the area and taken into custody by a TPD K9, police said.

East Speedway Boulevard. between N. Swan Road. to N. Craycroft Rd. will be shut down while officers investigate the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

At 4:50 am, TPD SWAT and K9 arrested a male suspect near 4800 E. Helen St. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries to the public or officials.
