TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – Tucson police arrested a man in connection with a homicide investigation on Saturday, July 31st.
Officials say Operations Division East officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Mountvale Drive to report a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers arrested several people at the residence and found a man with signs of gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began providing assistance until paramedics from the Tucson Fire Department arrived, officials said. He was transported with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead in hospital. He was identified as the 40-year-old Morgan Rockwell Fincher.
Through interviews, it was found that Fincher was at the residence to speak to one of the residents, 25-year-old David Christopher Record.
According to officials, a disagreement between the two sparked a verbal confrontation and a gunshot could be heard from the garage. Record was identified as a shooter. He has been charged with first degree murder, armed robbery, and banned owner.
