Serious Crash On W. Ajo Way In Tucson Injures 1: Police

TUCSON, AZ – A major accident near 1500 W. Ajo Way that seriously injured one person restricts traffic and causes a power outage, police say.

A car crashed into a power pole shortly after 3 a.m. on Thursday, the police said. One of the inmates was taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, the other to the hospital as a precaution, the police said.

Traffic is restricted between S. Valley Road west and S. Holiday Isle. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

According to the police, investigators are still investigating the accident.
