SR 83 east of Tucson closed in both directions between I-10, Old Sonoita Highway

TUCSON (KVOA) – The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded Monday morning to reports of gunfire at vehicles on State Route 83 east of Tucson.

The road was closed in both directions between Interstate 10 and the Old Sonoita Highway in connection with the incident, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

It has since reopened.

No further details were released.
