TUCSON (KVOA) – The city of Tucson released the unofficial results of the 2021 primaries on Tuesday.
According to the results, a total of 21,410 ballots were cast.
According to the Tucson City Clerk’s Office, the turnout was around 22%.
The results in Ward 3 show that Democrat Kevin Dahl beat his Democrat Juan Francisco Padres with a total of 59% of the vote against Juan Francisco’s 40% of the vote.
Acting Democratic Councilor Richard Fimbres in District 5 ran unanimously and will vote in November.
Ward 6, Steve Kozachick will go for a fourth term after beating Miranda Schubert and Andres Portela with a total of 57% of the vote.
Republican Alan Harwell Jr. in Ward 3 was a write-in candidate and had 34% of the total vote.
