TUCSON (KVOA) – A man accused of having sex with multiple children over several years was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Thursday after reportedly failing to appear in court.
According to official sources, Tucson police filed a motion to arrest 35-year-old Isaac Martinez-Celaya with US Marshals Arizona WANTED’s Task Force on Violent Offenders on July 8 after the man failed to appear for a court hearing Associated with 13 cases of sexual behavior involving a minor under the age of 15.
After locating Martinez-Celaya in a Mister Car Wash on Irvington Road and Midvale Park on Thursday, the 35-year-old reportedly fled to a nearby neighborhood. The task force was able to arrest the man after an extensive search and brief pursuit.
In the first press release, the US Marshals Service failed to provide details of Martinez-Celaya’s sexual conduct on minor charges.
Martinez-Celaya was subsequently admitted to the Pima County Adult Detention Center in connection with the incident.
