The body of a woman found Sunday in a burning house that marked the start of a killing spree on the south side of Tucson has been confirmed as the alleged gunman’s girlfriend, Tucson police say.
Jennifer Fells’ body was found in a house that burned down on Sunday. An autopsy revealed that she was shot, the police said.

Jennifer A. Fells, 36, a mother of three, was believed to have been killed in the attack, which also wounded two paramedics, a helpful neighbor dead, and firefighters sheltering from bullets as they tried to put out the fire.
The alleged shooter was eventually seriously injured in a shootout with the police. He died on Wednesday.
Fells was positively identified by the district doctor, the police said on Thursday.
An autopsy revealed that Fells was shot.
Fells was known for her smile.
Your colleagues at McDonald’s in Tucson remember that Fells always laughed.
“When she laughed, it was contagious,” said Michael Higgs, the general manager at McDonald’s where she worked. “She always had fun and made everyone laugh.”
Higgs said he had a personal relationship with Fells as they were similar in age. He described her as “caring” and as a “reliable, hardworking employee”.
“She is very much loved, valued, and respected,” said Higgs. “She has a place in all of us forever.”
