‘Tucson Pride Festival 2021’ postponed until next year

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – With COVID-19 cases still a cause for concern, Tucson Pride announced on Friday that the Annual Pride in the Desert 2021 events would be postponed until next year.

Last month the nonprofit announced it would celebrate diversity, empowerment, and acceptance with a weeklong celebration from October 1st to 3rd, but has since decided to postpone these events until fall 2022. These events will be postponed to October 2022; However, dates are not yet listed.

The nonprofit says that at large group gatherings, it is not certain that the community will come together at that time.

In addition, Tucson Pride will continue planning for the 44th annual Pride in the desert next year.
