TUCSON (KVOA) – Tucson representative Alma Hernandez tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, despite being 11 weeks before her second Pfizer shot.
“Despite the wide availability of vaccines, we must continue to take precautions to slow the spread. It is up to all of us to work together to defeat this pandemic, “said Hernandez.
Hernandez said she has mild symptoms and will be quarantined at her home until next Wednesday.
“The pandemic is not over yet. Be sure, watch out, do not let up after the vaccination,” said Hernandez in a final statement.
# COVID19 #Vaccines are effective. Without them my situation would be much worse. However, a small percentage of people, including myself, who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19. So don’t let your guard down. Thanks to everyone who got in touch. Very appreciated! pic.twitter.com/4p31e4E2WH
