Imperial Brown, a manufacturer of walk-in refrigerators and freezers for commercial kitchens, plans to open a 99,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Tucson, Arizona. The project is expected to create around 100 new jobs in the coming years.

The facility at the Tucson Airport Distribution Center on the corner of E. Medina Road and Brosius Avenue will be completed in January 2023. Construction of the ultra-modern facility is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2022.

“Tucson was selected after a year of researching potential locations in the Southwest. It has beaten other cities in Arizona because of its balance of climate, demographics, cost of living, and population density. The Tucson facility will focus on bringing IB quality products and unparalleled service to the underserved region of the Southwest, ”said Justin Sandall, President of Imperial Brown.

Tucson will be the company’s fourth facility, with additional locations in Portland, Oregon, Salisbury, North Carolina, and Prague, Oklahoma.

Imperial Brown is a leader in temperature management equipment for the hospitality, biotechnology, medical technology and construction industries. The company produces walk-in refrigerators and freezers for restaurants and large kitchens, cold storage components for fish processing plants, ice makers for dam construction, test chambers with a wide range, pharmaceutical development and manufacture, high humidity and drying chambers, robot housings and archiving storage chambers.
