Natalie Brothwell, Mother Of Lancaster Siblings Found Decapitated, Arrested At Her Tucson Home – CBS Los Angeles

LANCASTER (CBSLA) – The mother of two who were found beheaded at her Lancaster home last year was also for their murders, Los Angeles County Sheriff officials said.

Natalie Brothwell, 44, was arrested Tuesday at her home in Tucson, Arizona.

Authorities say the December 4th investigation into the gruesome murders of 13-year-old Malaka Taylor and her 12-year-old brother Maurice Taylor Jr. in Lancaster led to information that enabled the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office to bring charges against Brothwell to raise. She faces two cases of murder and two cases of child endangerment.

The children’s father, 34-year-old personal trainer Maurice Taylor Sr., was arrested immediately after the murders. Authorities discovered the children’s bodies when Taylor’s clients said he had not shown up for pre-arranged appointments and they were unable to reach him.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said two younger brothers, ages 8 and 9, were also in the house, shown the bodies of their murdered siblings and forced to stay in their bedrooms for several days without food.

Taylor has been charged with murder and is being held on $ 4.2 million bail. It is unclear when Brothwell will be returned to California for indictment.
