affectionately known as Bob, 91, of Tucson, Arizona, died peacefully in his sleep on October 3, 2021.

Bob was a romantic and a lover of life. He believed that life should be like great literature. He loved the opera, his favorite was “The Marriage of Figaro”. He was an avid and avid art collector. Bob made a lasting impression with his open and frank opinion, warmth, humor and interest in others, even on those who had only met him once. He was enthusiastic about his job, the architecture, the food and the entertainment, his lavish dinner parties and spectacular table decorations were remembered by all who attended. His generosity was legendary. He was a professor of architecture at the University of Arizona and loved teaching and he loved his students, many of whom were guests at his table. His students returned admiration, and many stayed in touch with him until the end. His work, especially his interiors, has been featured in a number of magazines. He had too many friends to count, some for life, all of whom were as dear to him as possible.

Bob was a veteran of the Korean War and graduated from the Yale School of Architecture in 1962. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he moved to Tucson with his family in 1976. He taught at the University of Arizona for 35 years.

Bob is survived by his daughter Erica (Jeremy) Crytzer; Twin sons, David (Noriko) Nevins and Gabriel (Laurie) Nevins; Grandchildren, Sasha (Lisa), Isamu and Nate and many loving nieces and nephews. He was previously deceased by his beloved sister Ruth and by his first wife and mother of their children, Barbara Slosberg Nevins. A celebration of life is planned for spring 2022. Arrangements by ANGEL VALLEY FUERAL HOME.
