The Marana location offers a daily brunch – from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – with breakfast paella, carne asada and eggs, egg pans, omelettes, tres leches pancakes and churro -Waffles in addition to the Bloody Mary service at the table.

In the evening, the restaurant will add a margarita fountain to its table offerings – think that only this chocolate fountain is filled with fresh margaritas. It will also have a tequila and bourbon bar with top notch bourbons

The homemade menu will borrow heavily from Holzman’s other two restaurants, including the family-friendly Plato Huapango, a platter of grilled chicken, beef tenderloin, shrimp, and other seafood served with beans, Mexican rice, and a cheese-filled greens wrapped in bacon Chile.

“It’s a really fantastic family meal,” said Holzman, who added the dish to his menu in late 2019. Since reopening its dining rooms when the COVID restrictions were lifted a few months ago, the Huapango has begun to appeal to guests.

Holzman said he has wanted to expand northwest for a while. Months after the space at the Village Inn became vacant, he began speaking to the landlord.

Signs were posted on the building last weekend and work began earlier this week to renovate the dining room to improve traffic flow and add more comfortable seating. Holzman said the kitchen doesn’t need any renovations and is fully equipped.
