Tesla rideshare program launches for Phoenix to Tucson travel

Arizonans often face a hurdle when traveling between Phoenix and Tucson because it’s too close to fly but too far to use a traditional ride-sharing company like Uber. A new service, unique in the United States, has just been launched in Phoenix to address this challenge.

Falcon Line, a new company headquartered in Scottsdale, helps travelers move Tesla-style between the Valley and southern Arizona, minimizing cost, stress and inconvenience.

“Flying is expensive, cumbersome and chaotic; Bus or shuttle rides are inexpensive, but the experience is quite undesirable and driving on I-10 for two or more hours is unproductive and stressful. This is where Falcon Line comes in, ”said Michael Puhala, CEO and Founder of Falcon Line. “Most users of our service are looking for travel accommodations between 120 and 200 miles in length, and the Phoenix to Tucson route is the first of many corridor travel options in our plans to introduce into the United States.”

Falcon Line currently offers fully electric premium business class service from A to B with professional drivers in a fleet of Tesla Model X vehicles. Passengers can book a single seat or reserve the entire car for their trip. To ensure there is no loss of productivity, the cars are equipped with retractable desks in the back seats, 5G WiFi, and other amenities to make personal and business trips smooth.

Booking a ride is easy. Travelers can plan one-way or round-trip travel online at www.ridefalcon.com. Fares range from $ 100 to $ 300. Reservations are made in advance to ensure accommodations can be met. Subscription services will be available for frequent travelers who travel frequently between the Falcon Line metropolitan areas.

There are two pick-up and drop-off locations in Phoenix, including one in North Scottsdale in the Scottsdale Quarter and a second near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. There is a pick-up and drop-off location in Tucson at La Encantada Mall. When travelers book a seat, it’s a point-to-point drop-off. If travelers book the entire car, they also benefit from the door-to-door service.

Travelers can also breathe a sigh of relief when they travel in style, knowing that Tesla Model X vehicles have an advanced air purification system and vehicles are sanitized after each trip, making travelers feel safer than flying in the COVID-19 era or sitting in a van.

Falcon Line only started operations in Phoenix and Tucson in April and plans to expand into northern Arizona (Flagstaff and Sedona) in May. The program provides users with premium travel service in parts of the United States that do not have premium corridor travel options. Falcon Line has identified 32 additional corridors in the US for potential expansion in 2021, including Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston, Texas. The company’s goals include expanding to 10 corridors by the end of next year and 25 corridors in the next five years.
