On July 23, 2021, Alice peacefully left her earthly garden towards Paradise at the age of 91. Born in Manchester, England on May 3, 1930. Their oldest son Carlos preceded them in death. She is survived by her 71-year-old, loving husband Carlos S. Melendez; six children, Michael, Rick (Teresa), Steven (Elke), Rebecca (Joe), Andrew and Thomas; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Generous, kind, amiable and steadfast through life. Those who knew and loved her enjoyed her quick wit and very British humor. Alice was an avid reader, loved her garden and was a passionate human rights defender. She was by far the most loving mother and grandmother of all.
