The Dusk Music Festival, held at Jacome Plaza in Tucson from November 13-14, was a really fun weekend. The event for all ages went smoothly and efficiently. I really enjoyed myself the whole time. The weather was perfect too, not too hot and not too cold.

I really noticed the diversity of the line-up at this festival. There were bands like Jimmy Eat World and Grouplove, but also electronic acts like Diplo. Watching Jimmy Eat World was so nostalgic for me. When they played ‘The Middle’, the whole crowd screamed with joy and sang along with all the words. It was such an epic moment for me, it was a really special night. Grouplove had incredible energy and made the crowd dance nonstop. I’ve seen Diplo and John Summit and their sets were good too. My favorite act of the festival was probably Sage Armstrong. He killed his set and made everyone vibrate.

I really liked the festival layout. The merchandise and food and drink vendors were all spread out and it was very easy to get to all of the stages. I loved the amount of food and drink options, along with alcohol. They also had marijuana vendors selling merch and marijuana paraphernalia. Of course, since I was in Tucson, I had to buy Eegee’s and I got one that was pina colada flavored. It was delicious! There was pizza, grilled cheese, tacos and much more. There was even a massage seller in the VIP area and I got the best massage ever.
production
Visuals and lighting were on point. I liked how they set up all of the stages. Everything was within easy reach, be it food or drink. The sound was good too, I didn’t really hear much sound bleed. I have a feeling the bass could have been improved, however, but that was just a small thing I observed. The lasers at the festival were really cool and offered the participants a visually appealing experience.
Final thoughts
Overall the festival was a blast !! I met so many new people and everyone was so nice and friendly. I found Relentless Beats did a great job curating an experience with art, music, and food. The festival exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning to this festival in the years to come!
