Meet Sally Kane
With longtime Tucson restaurants closing their doors amid a global pandemic, a Tucson restaurant owner is on a mission.
Sally Kane, who has owned and run The Coronet for seven years, visits, eats, and writes about the places new and old that make up the Old Pueblo.
The aim is to shed light on the companies and to encourage the community to follow their “food steps” by also patronizing them, “because they cannot fade, because they reflect our community, because they create delicious food and because they give “I have a sense of place and time,” says Kane.
Kane has kept The Coronet’s main and private dining rooms – housed in the former Cushing Street Bar in downtown Tucson – closed during the COVID-19 pandemic and only served breakfast, lunch and dinner al fresco in its three courtyards.
The Arizona Daily Star has partnered with Kane to take you on their culinary adventures. You can also follow it on foodsteps.blog.
