Take a stroll back in time at this centuries-old café. El Charro is home to the original Chimichanga and offers a variety of authentic Mexican food. It’s also Arizona’s oldest Mexican restaurant run by the same family. The original building is still intact and adorned with colorful traditional Mexican decorations such as sombreros, flowers, and family portraits. The chimichangas are an obvious choice, but other popular dishes include the carne seca platter, which grills dried and shredded Angus beef with green chilli, tomatoes, and onions. Or try a Mexican classic, the red pozole: a delicious stew with meat and onions, garnished with onions and radishes.

Stay cool and grab an ice cream cone at The Hub. Located in the heart of downtown Tucson, this cute place is known for its eye-catching ice cream cone statue and bright neon sign that draws customers out the window. With a pastel aesthetic, the ice cream parlor has a modern retro 50s vibe and has a toy train running through the store. The Hub changes its 30+ handcrafted ice cream and vegan sorbet flavors every week. Previous preparations included lavender honey, coconut ash, oatmeal cookie dough, bourbon almond brittle, salted caramel, and balsamic strawberry.

This renowned breakfast and brunch restaurant serves classic dishes with a sophisticated touch.
