The 48th annual Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival returns to downtown Tucson, allowing the public to reconnect with their diverse and diverse cultures. This year the festival organizers have redesigned the event to prioritize the safety of artists, vendors and the entire community.
Don’t miss out on over 50 performance groups sharing music and dance, 30 food vendors representing over 20 cultural regions, the first Arizona Ethnic & Traditional Dance Festival and much more!
Festival Program Director Maribel Alvarez says: “We planned this year’s Tucson Meet Yourself very carefully and deliberately. We produce a festival for the public, of course, but our loyalty is primarily to the artists and food vendors who can share their culture. Our close discussions with these participants – with whom we have had many decades of relationships – have helped us to plan a reduced festival that takes safety very seriously and still allows for celebration and fun. ”
When: 8.-10. October
Where: Jácome Plaza and the surrounding blocks of Stone Avenue, Church Avenue and Pennington Street
