Visit Tucson: Vamos A Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta Returns To Tucson For Tenth Year After Last Year’s COVID-19 Hiatus

The tenth annual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta, presented by Vantage West and Visit Tucson, will return to the Veterans Memorial Stadium after the 2020 COVID-19 break. The dates for 2021 are September 30th – October 3rd. Our logo for the 10th anniversary is attached.

Four teams from the Mexican Pacific League (Liga Mexicana Del Pacifico) will take part in this year’s event. These are Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Yaquis de Obregon, Aguilas de Mexicali and Mayos de Navojoa.

Hermosillo and Obregon have attended every nine years. The Mexican baseball fiesta will also take place in Las Vegas (for the time being) and the Phoenix area (another stadium will be added to Sloan Park in Mesa). There are ongoing talks with Nogales and Douglas.

Vamos A Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta is pleased to announce the return of La Brissa after the double header on Friday October 1st. This very popular Sonora band performed after Thursday’s 2019 game. With just four days of pre-promotion, the MBF 2019 attracted 5,670 fans. La Brissa has become unique with its modern. a strong fan base in their homeland and in the southwest of the USA develops cumbias and rancheras music.

We missed the Fiesta but we promise bigger and better things for 2021 – the fans, the music, the food and the fun make this a unique experience for all baseball fans, “said Francisco Gamez, Mexican Baseball Fiesta, Founder and partners. Gamez played for over 10 years in the Mexican Pacific League and the Milwaukee Brewers Organization in the United States. MBF founder Gamez founded the Mexican Baseball Fiesta, LLC with Mike Feder in 2011.

“The Vamos A Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta has grown to be one of the top entertainment / baseball events on the Tucson calendar,” said Mike Feder, president of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta. “The word Fiesta best describes our event – ONE PARTY! We believe the Fiesta is the largest Hispanic sporting event in Tucson each year. The MBF also has a significant economic impact on Pima County. Tickets for the Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta will be on sale online at www.MexicanBaseballFiesta.com in mid-August. The advance booking prices are again box seats – 15 USD and general admission for adults – 10 USD, children (6-16) 6 USD. Day tickets are box seats – $ 20 and general adult admission – $ 15. Tickets will also be available at the Kino-Stadion box office, as well as other local locations, two weeks before the first game. Further information on these locations will follow. The full tournament schedule will be published in the next few weeks. The popular rivalry game between Hermosillo and Obregon will be the second game of the doubles again on Saturday. This game has drawn more than 5,000 fans every year.
