TUCSON, Arizona (KOLD News 13) – The Tucson Metro Chamber’s Tucson Restaurant Advisory Council will launch the Keep Tucson Cooking promotion this week with a dedicated website and targeted advertising campaign.
Keep Tucson Cooking is designed to get the community excited about the economic importance of supporting local restaurants and bars. relevant news and more.
On the website you will find a “Offers” section with special offers from the participating restaurants and bars as well as individual food photos with links to websites, delivery options, contact details, etc.
A link to the Tucson Metro Chamber’s YouTube channel takes viewers to a series of ongoing interviews with the James Beard Award, radio host Jennifer English winner, and member restaurateurs, beverage artisans and chefs who talk about the future of Tucson’s vital food service scene and how they do it it addressed the many problems of creating a safe environment for your guests, and much more. Initial interviews include conversations with Sally Kane, owner of The Coronet, Chef Gary Hickey of Flores Concepts, and Richard Fifer, owner of Gentle Ben’s. More interviews are added every week.
The accompanying campaign of TRAC “Masks Mean Business” also comes into effect this week with the arrival of 5,000 KN95 masks in the chamber office. With masks undoubtedly going to continue to be part of the security protocol for the foreseeable future, the Chamber hopes to offset some of the harsh costs for restaurant members as they begin to relax and welcome guests back.
